Jasper Pricing: Plans, Credits and Word Limits

Pricing at a glance

Jasper Pro costs $59 per seat per month on yearly billing or $69 on monthly billing, and Business is custom priced through sales. Jasper has no free plan, only a 7-day trial of Pro. Neither plan lists a word limit, and credits only meter features such as Grid, GEO Hub and the Research Agent.

Jasper costs $59 per seat per month on the Pro plan when you pay yearly, or $69 per month when you pay monthly, and the Business plan has no listed price because Jasper quotes it through sales. There's no free plan, just a 7-day trial of Pro, and that's a real limit if you like to test before paying. Every figure below comes from Jasper's own pricing page, credits rate card and help center as of 6 November 2026, so check the pricing page before you buy, because plan names and numbers change.

  • Cheapest way in: Pro at $59 per month on yearly billing, which is $708 a year for one seat.
  • Biggest surprise: Pro includes one seat. More users means a conversation with sales about Business.
  • Word limits: neither plan lists a word allowance. The metered part of Jasper is credits, not words.

How much does Jasper cost?

Jasper has two plans: Pro at $59 per seat per month billed yearly or $69 billed monthly, and Business at a custom price. The table puts the numbers side by side.

What does Jasper do?

Jasper is an AI platform for marketing teams, and its pricing page describes it through four building blocks. Canvas is the editor for on-brand content. Agents run marketing workflows, with GEO, translation and deep research agents on Business. Brand Voices, Knowledge assets and Audiences hold the context that keeps output consistent, and Grid runs content jobs row by row at scale. Our Jasper AI review covers how those parts work in practice.

What does each Jasper plan include?

Pro is built for one person who needs on-brand output, and Business adds the team, governance and automation features. Here's what the pricing page lists for each.

The Pro limits are the part to check against your own workload. Two Brand Voices and three Audiences cover one brand or one small agency client at a time, but if you write for several brands, you'll hit the Brand Voice cap first.

Does Jasper have word limits?

No. Neither the Pro nor the Business card on Jasper's pricing page lists a word allowance. Jasper's help center says Chat, Agents, Studio and IQ are unlimited on business plans, and its rate card lists prompts and standard agent runs as unlimited.

There's one caveat. Jasper's Fair Use Policy sets what it calls "outer-bound" parameters at its sole discretion, says that nearly all users stay well within them, and says that exceeding them can lead to throttling or extra costs. The policy doesn't publish the numbers. A normal writing workload is unlikely to cost you anything extra, although a large automated workload is where you should ask Jasper for the limits in writing.

How do Jasper credits work?

Credits are a shared pool that pays for a few premium features, and writing in Chat and Canvas isn't one of them. The pricing page says standard content creation in Chat and Canvas doesn't drive credit usage. Here's the rate card, which carries an update stamp of 6.9.2026.

Jasper's credits rate card, as of 6 November 2026. API and MCP calls are also priced in credits per call.

Here's how the pool behaves, according to Jasper's help center:

  • One bank per workspace. All users draw from the same pool, and admins can switch credit spending off per user or set a monthly limit for each person.
  • Included credits come with Business. Business workspaces get a base number of credits with the platform fee, and more are bought through the account team. Pro's plan card lists no credit allowance.
  • Prepaid credits expire. They run out at contract renewal or cancellation, so ask what happens to leftovers.
  • Pay-as-you-go is optional. Overage can be charged monthly, with a cap that admins set.
  • You see the cost first. The credit cost shows next to the Run button, and alerts fire at 10,000, 5,000, 1,000 and 0 credits.

A quick example shows the scale, and it's definitely worth running before you sign. Running 50 Grid rows costs 500 credits, and 10 Research Agent runs cost 400 credits. That's our arithmetic from the rate card, and what a credit costs in dollars is something only your quote will tell you.

Is Jasper cheaper on yearly billing?

Yes, but by less than the page says. Jasper calls it about 20%, however the numbers don't match that. Yearly billing costs $59 per month against $69 on monthly billing, which saves $120 a year, or about 14%. Jasper's pricing page and FAQ describe the yearly saving as about 20%, so don't plan around 20% for Pro.

The trade-offs matter more than the percentage:

  • Yearly: you pay the full year up front and you're committed for 12 months.
  • Monthly: you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the billing cycle, and Jasper says monthly billing lets you pause for 30 days.
  • Business: always starts with a 12-month commitment.

If you're not sure Jasper will stick in your workflow, start with the trial, then pick monthly for the first quarter. The extra $10 a month is the price of an exit.

How much does Jasper cost for a team?

It depends on the quote, because Pro includes one seat and Jasper sends anyone who needs more users to Business. Jasper's FAQ says that for most plan changes you'll need to upgrade to Business to get unlimited users.

To show the scale, here's what extra seats would cost if they were priced at the Pro rate on yearly billing. This is our arithmetic, not a Jasper quote, and it leaves out credits and anything Business adds.

SeatsPer monthPer year
1$59$708
3$177$2,124
5$295$3,540

Treat those as a floor. Business adds features that Pro doesn't have, so a real quote for the same headcount can land well above the table, though it could also come in lower if Jasper discounts volume. Ask the sales team for the per-seat price, the included credits, the price of extra credits and whether the first term is 12 months.

What are the payment rules, free trial and discounts?

Jasper takes major credit and debit cards, with 3D Secure authentication, and it doesn't accept PayPal, prepaid cards or cash apps. Prices are in US dollars, and Jasper says an exchange rate is applied at purchase through Stripe, so a non-US card can show a slightly different total.

  • Free trial: 7 days on the Pro plan. There's no trial listed for Business.
  • Nonprofit discount: 20%. Start the free trial first, then email Jasper, which asks for documents that prove the nonprofit's status.
  • Cancellation: you can cancel at any time, and you keep access until the end of the billing cycle.
  • Client work: you can create separate projects for each client, which matters if you're an agency.

How does Jasper compare with cheaper tools?

Jasper is a workflow purchase, and it costs more than general-purpose assistants that also draft marketing copy. The table lists the entry prices on each vendor's own page.

ToolEntry paid planPriceWhat the page says
JasperPro$59 yearly, $69 monthly, per seat1 seat, 2 Brand Voices
ClaudePro$17 per month yearly ($200 up front), $20 monthlyFree plan available
Copy.aiChat$29 per month billed monthly5 seats, unlimited words in Chat
RytrLite$9 per monthUnlimited characters per month, free plan with 10,000 characters

Vendor pricing pages, as of 6 November 2026. Plans differ in scope, so this isn't a like-for-like comparison.

The fair way to read this is by job. If you write alone and need drafts, a cheaper assistant covers most of it, but if you need shared brand rules, a reusable style guide and agents across a team, Jasper is built for that. For longer lists, see our guides to Jasper alternatives, Rytr pricing and Writesonic pricing, and our Jasper AI review for what the product does.

Is Jasper better than ChatGPT for marketing work? Only where its stored brand context matters. For one-off drafts, a general assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude does a similar job for less, and Jasper's edge is Brand Voices, Knowledge, Audiences and agents that every seat shares.

Is Jasper worth the price?

Jasper is clearly worth it when several people produce marketing content that has to sound like one company. It's hard to justify for one person who writes now and then, especially at $69 a month.

Five-step flow: count users, count brands, list credit features, use the 7-day trial, choose monthly billing first.
A quick purchase check based on Jasper's published limits.

Run this check before you pay:

  1. Count the people who will log in. More than one means you're really pricing Business.
  2. Count your brands. More than two Brand Voices means Pro won't fit.
  3. List the credit features you'd use, such as Grid, Research or GEO Hub, and multiply by the rate card.
  4. Use the 7-day trial on a real project, and compare the draft with what a general assistant gives you.
  5. If you stay, choose monthly billing for a quarter, then switch to yearly if you're still using it weekly.
